Start here: set up your domain, hosting, and website

To launch a website, you need a registered domain, an active hosting service, website content, and a working HTTPS certificate. You can buy a domain and hosting together or bring a domain you already own.

Choose your starting point #

1. Starting from scratch: choose a hosting plan, search for an available domain, and add both to your cart. Follow Buy hosting with a new domain.
2. You already own a domain: keep the domain with its registrar or arrange a separate transfer. Follow Buy hosting with an existing domain.
3. You already have a live website or email: prepare a migration before changing DNS. Follow Prepare to move an existing website.

Complete your setup #

After payment, open My Account → Hosting services in Lucid Control Center. Some account layouts call this section Services. A new domain must receive registration confirmation before hosting creation can proceed. DNS setup is separate: the hosting account can be created while your domain still points elsewhere.

When the service becomes Active, select the website and use Manage or Manage website. The dashboard provides Email, Databases, DNS & SSL, and PHP controls where your plan permits them. Use Open Virtualmin for files and advanced tasks. Choose Keep my DNS provider or Use Lucid nameservers, complete the displayed checks, then request SSL for the website. Build or upload your content and test the site before announcing the launch.

Know where to manage each service #

Payment confirmation, domain registration, hosting activation, and a working website are separate milestones. Check each one. If a step stalls, send support your order number, domain, and the status shown in your account.
