How to transfer a domain to our service

An inbound transfer moves the domain's registration from its current registrar to the registrar service managed through your account. It does not copy your website, mailboxes, or databases. Our transfer request preserves the existing nameservers.

1. Sign in at your current registrar and confirm that you control the domain. Check its expiration, transfer eligibility, and any lock or pending request. If the registrar says a waiting period applies, resolve that before ordering.
2. Make sure you can access the contact email used for transfer notices. Before changing registrant details, ask the current registrar whether the change will start a transfer lock. ICANN explains these possible restrictions in its transfer FAQ.
3. Remove the ordinary transfer lock when permitted and obtain the authorization code if your extension requires one. Keep the code private.
4. Sign in on our website and open My Account > Domains > Transfer a domain. Enter the domain and select Check transfer. You can also open an external domain already linked to hosting and use Renewals & transfer.
5. Review the offered term and total. Enter the authorization code from the current registrar when required, then submit the transfer purchase form and complete checkout.
6. Follow any legitimate transfer confirmation instructions from the registrars. Check My Account > Domains for progress and retain your order number.

Confirm completion: The domain should show as managed here after the transfer is verified, with registration controls available. Check the expiration date and nameservers, then test the website and email.

Keep DNS available: Preserving nameservers does not guarantee that an old provider will continue hosting your DNS after transfer. Confirm that provider's arrangements before starting. If DNS must move, prepare the replacement zone separately.

If the transfer fails or needs review: Contact support with the order number and displayed status before ordering again. An expired domain in redemption must generally be restored with its current registrar first. Timing and eligibility vary by extension; no universal completion deadline is promised here.
