How to update domain contacts and submit requested registry documents

Registration contacts identify the people or organization responsible for the domain. Keep them accurate and reachable. Editing a website's contact page or your store billing address does not by itself confirm that the domain's registration contacts changed.

1. Open My Account > Domains, select the managed domain, and choose Contacts & verification.
2. Find the contact role you need to update. Review the existing name, organization, email, address, country, and phone information.
3. Enter the corrected details in that contact's form and submit its update button. Follow the form's country-code and phone requirements.
4. Reopen the section and confirm the intended contact details. Check each role separately if more than one role needs an update.
5. Complete any verification or confirmation sent after the change. Use Check contact verification when available to review the result.

Before a transfer: Ask support about the effect of a registrant change before submitting it. Covered generic-domain policies can impose a transfer restriction after certain changes. Do not deliberately enter inaccurate information to avoid a restriction. See ICANN's transfer FAQ.

When documents are requested: Some extensions require evidence of eligibility. Open the domain's Documents section only after support or the registrar tells you what is required. Select the requested document type code, choose the correct file, and use Upload document. The current form accepts PDF, JPEG, or PNG files up to 2 MB.

Verify the submission: Check Documents on file for the uploaded filename and status. A listed upload is not necessarily an approval. If the status is a numeric code or otherwise unclear, ask support to interpret it before uploading duplicates.

If you cannot access the old contact email: Contact support and follow its account or ownership verification process. Do not create another account expecting it to take control of the domain. For a change of ownership or sale, request guidance rather than assuming an ordinary contact edit completes the entire process.
