A search problem and a missing account entry have different causes. Start by identifying whether you are trying to buy a new name or locate a service you already own.
- For a new registration, search the exact name with its full extension. Remove
https://,wwwunless it is genuinely part of the intended registered name, and any page path. - Read the result carefully. Unavailable means the name was not offered as available by the current check. An error, retry request, or unconfirmed result does not establish availability either way.
- If the page is preparing extensions, let it finish. If a lookup fails, use its retry control. Skipping an extension skips its check; it does not reserve the domain.
- For an existing domain, sign in with the account used for the purchase. Open My Account > Domains, clear the search, select All domains, choose Apply, and check additional pages.
- Review the related order. An unpaid order or a paid operation awaiting review may not yet have produced an active managed domain.
- If the list says it is gathering domains, refresh after a short interval. A domain used by eligible paid hosting can appear as Registered elsewhere, which provides a hosting connection rather than registrar controls.
Verify what you found: Open the domain and compare its exact name, registration status, and linked hosting with your order. For an external domain, use Refresh public details if the public information appears old. Public registration data can be checked independently through ICANN Lookup; it does not prove which customer account should manage the domain.
When to contact support: Send the exact domain, order number, account email, displayed message, and time of your attempt. Exclude passwords and authorization codes. If you have an older registration that is absent from the list, ask staff to check its account assignment. Do not register or transfer the domain again just to make it appear.
