Purchase a paid SSL certificate on the website

Paid SSL products are available when the website's certificate catalog is enabled. Purchasing reserves the selected service; domain validation and installation are additional steps. You need a customer account to manage the certificate after checkout.

Paid certificates are managed through My Account → Orders. The website's DNS & SSL → Request Let’s Encrypt SSL control requests a separate free hosting certificate; it does not purchase or configure a paid certificate order.

1. Sign in, then open the website's SSL certificate catalog or the relevant product page.
2. Review Provider, Validation, and Coverage, together with the current price and subscription term. Choose a product whose stated hostname coverage and validation requirements fit your needs. OV or EV products require organization information and additional checks by the issuer.
3. Select Choose certificate and enter the base domain, such as example.com. Enter the base domain even for a wildcard product; its later signing request must cover *.example.com. Do not enter a page URL, path, or https:// prefix.
4. Add the certificate to its own order, with quantity one. If the cart contains hosting, domains, or other products, complete or separate those purchases before checking out the SSL product.
5. Review the domain spelling, product, price, and account details at checkout. Complete payment using an offered method. If the product or quote has changed, remove the stale cart item and select it again to obtain current terms.
6. Open My Account → Orders and view the order. When configuration becomes available, continue with its CSR and approval-email steps. Payment completion alone does not mean the certificate has been issued.

Check the result: The order should identify the intended domain and show a certificate section with its current state. Keep the order number. If the order shows Needs manual review, contact support instead of placing duplicate orders.

Common problems: An old payment link may be refused; follow the displayed instruction to choose the certificate again. A test-environment notice means the certificate is unsuitable for a live website. Ask support about an existing certificate service before buying a replacement for the same domain.

The subscription term is not a guarantee that one certificate remains valid for that entire period. Follow the expiry returned for the issued certificate. The current storefront does not provide automatic paid-certificate renewal or multi-domain/SAN ordering. The issuer's validation process is described in the registrar SSL guide.
